SalesLoft

Add a Salesloft action to quickly connect to your email sequencer and automatically lookup or sync records. This will allow you to trigger emails from Clay, without needing to ever go to Salesloft for an upload.

For both accounts and people there are 3 different actions - "Lookup", "Create", and "Upsert".

Additionally there's an "Add Person to Cadence" action that can be used AFTER the person has been created.

Check out the options below to see which is right for you!


1️⃣ Lookup

If you want to:

  • Lookup whether a person/account exists or not

  • Lookup the information in Salesloft for an account/person

Lookup Account

For Lookup Account, you need to map either a company Domain or Company Name column. Once running this action - you'll receive all data in your Salesloft account for the account (if the match was found).

Lookup Person

For Lookup Person, you need to map an email column as the input from your Clay table. Once running this action - you'll receive all data in Salesloft for the person (if the match was found).

This action is particularly helpful if you want to conditionally exclude records you already have in Salesloft from further enrichment.


2️⃣ Create

If you want to:

  • Create a new person/account

Create Account

For Create Account, you need to map a Company Name and Company Domain column into the corresponding inputs.

Create Person

For Create Account, you need to map a First Name, Last Name, and Primary Email Address column into the corresponding inputs.

This action is particularly helpful if you want to take the leads you've found in Clay and instantly create corresponding records in Salesloft. Please note - if the account/person already exists, we will not create duplicates by default.


3️⃣ Upsert

If you want to:

  • Create or update an person/account

Upsert Account

For Upsert Account, you need to map both a Company Name and Company Domain Column into the required inputs. After mapping the initial input, you'll see all of the properties you have in your Salesloft instance below. You can map entire columns to the different Salesloft properties.

For example, if you have a column in your Clay table with ChatGPT summaries of what the company does and you want this in Salesloft:

  • Choose an existing Salesloft property where you want this to live

    • OR create a new Salesloft property for this description

  • Map the column from your Clay table into the Salesloft action's corresponding column

Upsert Person

For Upsert Person, you need to map both a First Name, Last Name and Primary Email Address Column into the required inputs. After mapping the initial input, you'll see all of the properties you have in your Salesloft instance below. You can map entire columns to the different Salesloft properties.

If you have created a personalized email in Clay - you'll want to map the column with the text into one of the properties in this action.

This action combines Lookup + Create. We typically recommend using this action if you have accounts/people in your Clay table that may already exist Salesloft.


4️⃣ Add Person to Cadence

If you want to:

  • Add a person already in Salesloft to a cadence to begin sending emails

Add Person to Cadence

First make sure you've run lookup, create, or upsert person. Those actions will output the field "SalesLoft Person ID". Once you've run one of those actions, you can map the SalesLoft Person ID column directly into the required input. Select Cadence ID you'd like and you're all set to go!

Once this action is added, any row that gets to this action will automatically be added to the correct cadence.
