Add data to your Clay table using a webhook

Updated over a month ago

Introduction

You can seamlessly automate data imports into Clay by connecting to external sources or intermediary platforms like Zapier or Make.com. This allows you to directly import records into your Clay workflows with minimal manual effort.

Cost: Free

How to Set It Up

  1. On your Clay home page, click the + Create New button.

  2. Scroll down to the "Other" section and select "Import data from Webhook."

  3. Choose an existing table or create a new one to receive your imported data.

  4. Once the table and Webhook column are set up, copy the generated endpoint.

  5. Use the copied endpoint to link with your chosen automation tool, such as Zapier or Make.com.

FAQ

What are the rate limits for webhooks?

The limit is per workspace, limited to processing up to 10 records per second, with a maximum burst capacity of 20 records. If multiple webhooks sources are active in the workspace, it would require modifying the limits to remain within them, or potentially batching noisier requests.

What is the payload size limit for webhooks?

Each payload sent to the webhook must not exceed 100KB.
